Music Video

Draft 1

Here is my first draft of my music video, I am disappointed with the way it looks so far as the shots look like they've just been added and thats it. This is also 2 hours of work, so after this I realised that I need to consider a time table for when I edit my video.

Draft 2

Here is my second draft of my music video, I am more than pleased with the way it is looking so far compared to my first draft. I feel like the music video looks more professional as a whole however I know that they're still many improvements that need to be made as they're still some blank sections where I need to re-film footage for and then editing on to and also I am going to cut down some of the sequences in order to make it more eye catching for the audience.

Draft 3

For my 3rd draft of the music video I made many adjustments as I changed the colour adjustments to make it more appealing to the audience as the pink represents the female audience also by doing this it made it more eye catching as I thought there was too much white in the video so by doing this it made it belong more to the Pop genre. Other adjustments I made was I added some footage to the blank spaces as this is how a music video should be. Also I cut a few of the sequences down and added others in order to make it more snappy, with the short cuts this helps with the audience attention. With the balloon sequences I added Bokeh Random filter effect I think this is effective because it made the sequences look dreamy and the filter allowed a natural glow to the artist making her more appealing. Overall I am happy with the outcome of my video I believe it meets all the conventions of a pop music video as I have the lip syncing, range of colour, multiple outfit changes and short sequences. However I did recieved negative feedback from others as they said some of the sequences had the artist head chopped of and also some of the sequence were too long and out of focus, therefore taking this on board I will be re-filming some of the sequences so that i can get perfection as well as meeting my audience expectations.

Final Draft

For my final draft I have made many adjustments as I included many more effects including kaleidoscope, Prism and Bad TV, including all of this helps the viewers keep their eyes peeled also  often added tile affect and then used some of the tiles in colour and this defiantly made the video as it much more eye catching then my previous drafts. Also I realised from my previous drafts that my lips syncing wasn't syncing perfectly therefore I adjusted these and now I believe the Lip syncing is perfect, k made sure i did this as lip syncing is a main aspects for my music video as well as a convention of other pop music videos. Having more colour used in the music video helps the music video link more to the Pop genre as Pop is all about colour and in your face and I believe I have met this target.

Set and Costume Design

Actress outfits:

All together they were 4 different outfits that the artist wore in the music video this has been done due to it been a convention in pop music videos which I found out in my research. Here i have shown the different outfits my artist are wearing in my music video.

Cast list

For my music video I only have 1 cast member and that is Abbie Longly who will be my starring artist in the video. I will be in charge of Lighting and camera work. I have chosen Abbie to be my artist because she had a lot of enthusiasm when talking about the video and I knew she will put all her energy into the video. Another reason i have chosen Abbie is because she has that simple look which i believe will be good for the audience as they will feel like they don't have to look a particular way in order to be successful.

Communication

For my film I only needed to rely on one person and that is my actress however we did have troubles in finding out when we both have the same time free but after looking at both our timetables and work times we came up to the arrangement of Filming on Thursday 3rd December at 12:40 for 1 hour.

Here is evidence of our communication:

After organising and filming some footage for my music video my actress let me down due to having no free time therefore I had to find a new actress who was willing to be my artist for my music video. Here is evidence of my new actress and our organisation:

Weather forecast
As I am filming in doors for my music video the weather forecast isn't a major problem however it could be seen as a problem for my actress as I have required her to have her hair curly and if there is a high percentage of rain and wind it could and will ruin the look of my actress.

The day I have scheduled to shoot is 2nd February. Looking at the weather forecast for the day seems that I don't need to worry about my actress look.
